Our smallest BioSettler series has a cylindrical diameter of 75 mm with varying heights (168 – 650 mm) and internal liquid volumes (250 – 2000 ml).

These BioSettlers are fabricated in clear polycarbonate for visual inspection into the settler while in operation.

We can provide a shaking ‘haptic’ clamp with timer and intensity controller if periodic shaking is desired.

Top Cap Options

Seven ports are available on the top cap, one central port and six peripheral ports. These ports may be configured for different applications of the BioSettler.

Central Port: Used for the effluent during continuous perfusion.

Peripheral Ports: These may be blocked off or supplied with aspirators. Various length aspirators may be accessed by opening their respective clamps.

Bottom Cap Options

Three ports are available on the bottom cap, one central port and two side ports.

Central Port: Used to return settled cells to the bioreactor or clamped to accumulate cells.

Side Ports Together: Used with a “Y” connector to equally distribute cell culture broth from the bioreactor.

Side Ports Individually: Used to sparge air or gas mixture around the periphery and introduce cell culture broth from the bioreactor.
